Sutco Polska completes the modernization of the ZGO Pukinin plant

Sutco Polska has completed the project "Modernization and expansion of the ZGO Pukinin plant regarding the sorting of mixed waste and selectively collected waste". The aim of the project was to increase waste processing efficiency.

The project was carried out on the basis of a public contract concluded between ZGO Aquarium in Rawa Mazowiecka and Sutco Polska, which acted as the turnkey technology contractor. As part of the investment, our company developed a comprehensive technological design for a modern waste sorting line and handled the selection and configuration of the equipment required for the efficient operation of the facility.

The contract covered a comprehensive scope of work, including the dismantling of the client's existing equipment as well as the supply and installation of new sorting machines. An important part of the project was also the training of operating staff and the completion of  mechanical and technological commissioning.

The modernized plant has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a bag opener, a trommel screen, a ballistic separator, optical separators, a baler, a conveyor system, and an ergonomic sorting cabin.

The result of the modernization is not only an increase in the plant´s throughput (the capacity after expansion is at least 70,000 Mg/year for mixed municipal waste and at least 8,000 Mg/year for selectively collected municipal waste) but also its automation. Modern technological solutions contribute to more effective recovery of secondary raw materials, which directly translates into higher recycling rates.

The completed investment represents a significant step towards modern and efficient waste management. Thanks to the implemented solutions, the ZGO Aquarium plant has not only gained greater operational capacity but also meets increasing environmental and quality requirements. The completion of the project confirms our expertise in the comprehensive planning and implementation of modern technological facilities that meet current market needs and the challenges of environmental protection.
