Sutco Polska drives the future of waste management at the Ekorum Conference in Krakow

From 31 March to 2 April 2025, the specialist conference "Expansion and Modernization of Waste Treatment Plants" was held in Krakow, Poland. Sutco Polska played a key role in the event as a strategic partner.

The conference brought together professionals from technology, operations, and legal fields, providing an excellent platform for exchanging know-how and industry experience.

Attendees enjoyed a diverse program of presentations covering topics such as plant efficiency, waste management strategies, current legislative developments, and the upcoming revision of funding rules for the national waste database (BDO). Additional focus included the separation of construction waste, extended producer responsibility (ROP), the deposit return system, the future of biogas production, energy recovery from waste and recycling quotas.

As a leading provider of advanced sorting technology, Sutco Polska actively contributed to the event. Our participation centered on sharing expertise in optimizing waste sorting processes and showcasing innovative technologies that support efficient waste management.

A highlight of the program was a presentation by Adam Jurkiewicz titled "Sorting Technology in the Recycling Sector - Practical Experience at Sutco". Drawing on years of experience, the talk featured Sutco's latest systems and technological advancements in waste sorting. It emphasized strategies to boost both efficiency and quality in recycling processes using state-of-the-art sorting solutions. The presentation received great interest and let to a dynamic exchange of questions and discussion with the audience.

Adding to the practical aspect of the event, participants also took part in site visits to a plastics recycling facility and the thermal waste recycling plant in Krakow. Of particular note was Sutco Polska's significant role as one of the contractors of this plant - the company managed the comprehensive planning, construction, and commissioning of the facility for processing plastic film for recycling.

The "Expansion and Modernization of Waste Treatment Plants" conference proved to be a highly valuable event for the waste management sector. It underscored the crucial role of innovation and continuous development in existing infrastructure – key drivers in achieving higher recycling rates and promoting sustainable waste management solutions.
