Sutco Polska to Implement Sorting Line Upgrade for MIKI in Kraków

Sutco Polska has signed a contract with MIKI Recycling to deliver a major upgrade to their waste sorting facility in Krakow in spring 2026.

The project “Implementation of a high-efficiency process for sorting selectively collected waste, enabling an increase in the volume of secondary raw materials sent for recycling, reducing energy consumption, and decreasing the amount of landfilled waste”  aims to increase the level of automation in the sorting of 3D plastics, improve the efficiency of separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and streamline the entire technological process, which will directly translate into higher recovery of recyclable materials.

As the contractor, Sutco Polska will handle the design, execution, delivery, and installation of additional equipment for the technological sorting line at MIKI’s waste sorting facility in Kraków.

This upgrade of the existing sorting line with, among other things, an optical separator that will allow for more precise sorting of waste. A ferrous metal separator and a non-ferrous metal separator will also be installed to improve the recovery of metals, including aluminum. In addition, the installation of a sorting cabin and new conveyors is planned, which will integrate the entire technological process into a coherent system.

The implementation of the project will contribute to increasing the recovery of secondary raw materials and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills, thereby supporting the goals of sustainable development and the circular economy.
